One of my favorite types of stories is celebrity romance followed closely by friends to lovers, to have both in one was perfect! I absolutely loved Noah it was obvious how much he loved Chloe the same with her you could just see how much they loved each other but also how scared they were of losing each other if they went there.
The point in the story where Noah is recording the music video for his original song and it all came out was amazing and his speech to her at her car as she was running away OMG 😍 I loved it!
I also really loved Jack and the rest of their families and how close they all were.
Overall a great book, the only thing that would have made it better was a epilogue a few years in the future.

When I read the synopsis on this one, I thought "OK this is gonna be another rock star that thinks he is a god and entitled to everything he wants". But hold on, this is not one of those stories. Yes it is about a rock star but Noah is nothing like the others. When Noah Lockton is on a show that might just take him to the top with a recording contract, all he wants is to write and record his music. He wants his best friend Chloe Campbell there by him side. Chloe secretly loves Noah and is afraid of what will happen if he finds out. She takes a job at a teen magazine but finds out soon enough that it is Noah they want and that is why she got the job. When Noah goes on tour, the magazine sends Chloe along to keep the blog going. Can she work this close with him and keep her feelings hid? Will Noah come to realize what he really feels for Chloe? When his label wants him to keep up a lie, it tears him up inside and he knows that he must tell Chloe the truth. When Chloe starts getting threatening letters, she thinks it is a crazed fan because she is always around Noah. I recommend you jump on this roller coaster ride of a story and enjoy yourself. There is so much going on in this story and I loved it. This is a first for me from Becky Wicks and I can't wait to start Before He Was Gone (book 2).

I read one review with one star and plenty of slander and almost passed it up~ glad I didn't! Great book! I thought the first three chapters were a bit slow, but still good chapters. The book was great to me. I didn't want to put it down! The only criticism I could share would be, next time don't use so much profanity in your books. It's a turn-off for some readers.
I love unrequited romances, especially when it turns out it was all just a misunderstanding and the love is returned. That being said I also love it when best friends fall in love, stories featuring rock stars, and happily-ever-afters, so this book immediately went onto my wishlists and to-be-read lists. I can't tell you how excited I was to start this book.

I like Noah and Chloe right away. I could also tell both of them had their wires crossed and were actually in love with the other, but just too afraid to ruin their friendship by turning it into more. Plus there were other detractors like Noah's current girlfriend, his competitor on the show, Courtney, who was chasing after Noah with everything she had, and Chloe's boyfriend. It's funny but I actually ended up feeling really bad for Noah's girlfriend and liking her. After all heartbreak sucks, especially when the person you love is really in love with someone else.

I was amused by how hard Chloe and Noah fought with their feelings for one another. And grimaced when one or more obstacle came in their way. I like how much Chloe supported Noah, even though it often hurt her to be near him when he was with someone else. There was so much going on in the book it was really hard to put down; I read it one sitting.

This is my first Beck Wicks book. I loved the mix of realism with Noah winning the reality show and everything that came after and the love story as well. I can't wait for the second book in this series. I'm very eager to see how Becky Wicks will keep my attention and make me fall in love with two more characters and their story.
This book is so awesome, Noah and Chloe are so awesome that I got really sad when I realised the second wouldn't be exactly following them... I may say that for a older group this book may be a bit out of place but for teens and young adults I believe it speaks in a way we can all relate to. Not everyone has a love story like Noah and Chloe but we can all understand their heads, their feelings and how they express themselves, you know, at least I can! It got me reading all night and took my sleep away easily! Always wanting to know what happens next! The final was unexpected (except for Noah and Chloe), and that is something i have a difficult time finding lately, thus the 5 stars! And all this for free!! Although I would be as happy if I had paid for it.
Hopefully in a near future the author will make another story from Noah and Chloe !!!
