I have a stress fracture in my left tibia and so have little to do but read and play games so I dug up a couple CYA books from my junky house and came across Vampire Express and Forbidden castle to read, just to reminsece of the days of yore, so-to-speak. This is a "Cave of Time" sequal, though it does not say it on the cover that is what is. you enter a second time, the only reference to "Cave of TIme" is the first page. most "good" endings find you retiring in the woods or retiring in service to a king, well that is more a neutral ending as I won't spoil it for you you'll know when you read it. actually getting to this "Forbidden Castle" is a series of whoops and ladders(literally) and playing silly word games with various kings(in different paths) only to find you either die or some equally lame fate. At least it is not "The Circus" where it is all a dream anyway. I would recommend only to original fans who read these in my childhood around the late 1970's/early 80s and no one else. the teach nothing and are often illogical. and the Forbidden Castle is forbidden for a reason. Their is no real adventure there only a passage to it!
Book is in fair condition. But the story is still great!

Face it, the book costs $4.00 (.01 for the book, plus $4.00 for s/h). Even for an old used book, the cover shouldn't be folded in half upon arrival. Packaging for shipping left a lot to be desired.

Love the book! Came as discribed but, with a bar code sticker slapped on the front. Tried ever so carefully to remove it but of course, it rips and leaves residue on the front cover and also tears the front cover as well. I understand the book has age but how hard was it to put a bar code sticker on the inside cover?
Good story line with plausible choices. The over all length is medium. Took 2-3 days on and off to pick thru different scenarios. Over all a nice and pleasant read.
