Another enjoyable read by McCaffrey. Action, family interaction, and a book that was a pleasure to revisit. Too much of sify is thinly disguised horror. For entertainment and possibilities that don't leave me having nightmares there's nothing like a positive outlook on a future that leaves you hoping for the best.Always a good idea to read this series in order.

Love Anne McCaffrey, she knew how to spin a tale.
I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!! I loved it in paperback and am soooo glad they are finally putting it out on . It does seem a bit strange they have put this series out backward (the final book in the series came out not long after s hit the market) but I will take it however I can get it. Now just waiting until "The Rowan" is available and I will be set!
As much as I love the Dragons of Pern , I also love this series too. FT&T are wonderful compelling stories and following the generations is fun.
This story is awesome. I first read this as a teenager and loved the way the author took me into the future and to outer worlds. I loved this book then and I will continue to love this novel and storyline now and into the future.
I love Anne McCaffrey and all her books. This one is part of a sequence of books that goes through generations of one family. She writes believable sci fi. Strong female leads
Gotta have the next one! Can't wait to get started. I'm seriously addicted. Anne McCaffery is my favorite author. Loving this series.
Damia's Children is one of those 'in-the-middle-of's' books that a person will get totally lost in if they don't read the books in front of it. I found it ceaselessly step-by-step, with no real sense of forward movement of the plot, of tension or suspense, etc... and yes, it gave good information, as far as the plot of the entire series went, but as a stand-alone, it was boring and confusing. Don't get me wrong I LOVE Anne McCaffrey. I have dozens of her books and have read just about everything she has written. This series? I loved the Rowen. Damia not so much - she was a hard character to like. After this one is Lyon's Pride, which picks up the pace and develops likeable and hateable characters, and then Tower and the Hive, again moving information along but terribly boring to read. You finished it because it was the last book in the series. On a scale of 1-10, the Tower Series gets about a 3. Most of her series are better ... the Pern ones outstanding, the Freedom Series excellent, and I liked all of the Brain ship ones. I STILL read Killashandra's series (Crystal Singer, Killashandra, Crystal Song)and Peter Reininger's over and over a couple times a year.
